You have to remove the fan and there it is! I have the same issue. Heat only comes on ten to twenty minutes after running. Now, the warranty is expired and the dealership can not troubleshoot it. These resistors go bad usually one at a time until all you have left is high speed. The fuses might be under the dash.
Everything was great till this winter. Blower Motor Substitute Cost The blower motor has two main functions- to blow very hot air out the vents and to circulate air within the car. Anyone else been able to troubleshoot this issue? If there is power to the blower and fan doesn't work, than likely the blower motor is bad Nov 10, 2010 Per your description, I believe you may have a blower fan relay that is stuck closed. At least that's what I would do. This takes way to long and you must drive car before blower will start. Both cars did the same thing you describe. You mean motor don't all in all settings.
If you need further assistance please come back to the site we are here to help you. For models with Fan Control Amplifier what you check are the signals to the Amplifier. Can you please help me figure this out. And of course it acted up for us Sunday morning! I have tried turning the car off and on again but this only works occasionally. What I did, I replaced relay 1 and relay 2 relay 2 is for radio , everything is working great both blower motor and radio, if one day radio stops working I know what to fix. Ahead of I sat a superb placement for all situations.
I have a 2007 Nissan Altima. The radio only works when it wants now, but we know how to fix that. It uses the fan to keep it cool, because the resistors generate a lot of heat. That relay is located in the instrumental panel fuse box behind the fuse box. A few of them just have a ton longer to interchange the blower motor on or have dearer parts than other cars and trucks do. Remove the cover for the fuse box, you will see the fuses, unscrew one screw next to it, and there is one more screw to be removed, remove the panel below the steering wheel, it is very easy just pull it down. It is tough to say accurately what component from the heating and cooling device is resulting in the challenge, as well as your mechanic may have to have in there and examine it prior to supplying you with an exact estimate.
How is that a smart policy for an auto manufacturer. When it is above 50 degrees out then blower comes right on. It will run for hours once started and sounds perfect, but if I stop the car for an errand leaving it off for fifteen to twenty minutes, it will take fifteen to twenty minutes for it to come back on. Your motor may very well be having problems with your blower motor resistor or a connector. Thank you for visiting 2CarPros.
Regards, May 07, 2009 there is a blower resistor located near blower motor and housing under glove box area it is one connector with about 5 wires to it and looks thin, held by two screws this resistor controls fan speeds - possibly it will look burned may even be hot to the touch so be carefully it is the most probable cause since you obviously have power to it and ground only being the fan speeds the problem. But I need heater more than radio, specially living in Minnesota. If there is no power to the fan, then the switch or relay is at fault. I took the car in Friday night and it worked perfect all day Saturday. You can test the relay itself with an ohmmeter.
If the fuse is good, test the power to the fan with a voltmeter. Both elements and service expenditures are everywhere in the put, and it generally is determined by which kind of car you have. Hope I was some help. I figured out the problem and solution We did exactly what you said and now we have heat any time we want it! It's fuse 3 and 6 in car this is for manual heat only if you set the temperature in your car then it has to be scanned for codes to see why air mix motor isn't working. There is about ten digits number. I have had better success when I place a space heater in the car on the passengers side pointed towards the console for thirty minutes then remove it and start driving, the heater fan motor will start after only five minutes of driving, sometimes right away. I may be totally off here, and end up taking to dealership.
It is difficult to get it to the dealership when it is acting up. Relays are located like this. Hi, I was able to fix the problem, the blower motor works great now. You can rather simply change the blower motor by your self, it's not too challenging. Any help or ideas on the problem would be greatly appreciated. .
