We found that this view runs well but when you have more than 1000 titles in your collection it does tend to slow down a little while attempting to load all the images. Nothing mandatory, automatic or hidden, we don't have an automatic update feature. But I can understand it looks a little cluttered for some users. Also seems like they are back to doing major upgrades with start of new version releases instead of doing in middle of a version, fixing as many bugs as possible before moving on. It is possible to show a simple list of all movies, but you can also organize your collection by genre, director or actor, etc. For now I'm waiting on a special offer price to upgrade and then I'll install the last known good version before new features were introduced that created yet more bugs, and that version was 18. In that case, you need Movie Collector! It allows for much improved searching. It's as though they want you hooked on always having to upgrade. It pretty configurable to your needs and handles multiple entries quite well.
In spite of my initial problems, which is quite normal, my introduction to Movie Collector has been a pleasure. The interface is easy enough. All this information is then collated and entered into an attractive form and saved in the database. She already sighs every time she sees an Amazon box at the door!
