The app uses a 10 star rating when evaluating signal quality and my channel drops to 4 stars when the shield is on and is a 10 while it is off. Is there an app or secret setting in Android that would allow me to control this feature? This is because of no web browser available on Shield. I just wish I could sideload Amazon Prime Instant Video and M-Go so I could stream whatever 4K video content they offer besides only Netflix and YouTube video in 4K.
Local streaming over wifi does not use your internet connection. So sometimes you need to switch to wifi to do some stuff then back to wired for optimal performance. I have nothing that gives out a 2. Streaming video is the same. I have no idea why resp. If anyone knows any good shield advice please let me know. .

My drivers for the video cards are up to date with the beta drivers. I got my Shield tv console delivered yesterday, late as possible damn ups and love it so far, haven't had enough time to play more, but after work today I will. I have tested by switching my shield over to 2. I hate to ask the obvious but have you updated all firmware, software, and drivers including your Shield and router? Or perhaps there's some settings I'm missing that will speed up the connection so I can actually use this device for it's sole purpose. Also in the lolypop update , when I was able to connect to the WiFi ,is was smooth , but the down side was that I restarted the tablet at least 20 times before it would connect! Please see if this works out for you as well. The shield has been allowed by windows firewall. If nothing above works, a factory reset may fix the problem. The controller should connect after a few moments.

Otherwise the remote light is a small blue light located at the top of the remote. From my memory, since I'm not at home to check what else I side loaded, I have the following working so far: Chrome Browser Dolphin Browser Dropbox Google Drive Popcorn Showbox Helium Facebook Hulu Plus Photo Circle Speedtest Ppsspp And jut tested m-go I'll add that when I first set up the Pro yesterday on a wired connection, it had all sorts of problems -- including not being able to download the update. If it continues to not work, the ports on the shield may be damaged. However, I think I might have finally figured out a temporary fix for instable WiFi on the shield tablet.
